In Wang v Hur [2024] QCA 126, the Court of Appeal considered the appeal of Yun Wang against Lan Lan Hur, Qiong Wu, and Loyal Education Pty Ltd, regarding alleged misleading and deceptive conduct. Yun Wang (the appellant) sought leave to adduce new evidence on appeal to demonstrate errors in translation and interpretation of evidence given at trial. Both the appellant’s and respondents’ applications for further evidence were refused. The Court upheld the District Court's primary findings that the alleged misrepresentations by the respondents had not been made, and thus dismissed the appeal, ordering the appellant to pay the respondents' costs.
